JON STEPHENS

Jon Stephens has 28 years of experience in the plastics distribution, manufacturing and recycling industry. He strives to make a positive impact on the environment through advancement in the sustainability and circular economy realms.

Jon is a current partner in the group that formed a recycling service, waste optimization, manufacturing, and trading company in 1997. This US division of the business was ultimately acquired by WM (Waste Management, Inc). He is the former CEO of Natura PCR, which manufactures postconsumer resins (PCR) and is a leading company in the industry for PE Flexible PCR to produce circular packaging solutions.

Jon served five terms on the board of directors for the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR). He was instrumental in developing the APR Film Committee, which he served as chair from 2015-2024. He has also served on the board of Keep Texas Beautiful and the Recycling Committee for the PLASTICS association.

Jon holds a degree in biology and a business minor from Sam Houston State University. He is passionate about the environment and believes we all play a role in preserving it for future generations. He is a true conservationist and outdoorsman, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
